This is one of the North of England's largest car rallies of the year. It is organised by the NECPWA formed in 1966 by owners of Pre-War Austin Cars. The initials were so widely used, that when the club began to accept other makes, the name was retained by popular request, although informally we are now affectionately known as the ‘Nearly Everywhere Club for Pretty Well Anything’!
The venue is Newby Hall in North Yorkshire near to the market town of Ripon. The Hall is the family home of Mr & Mrs Richard Compton, it is one of England's renowned Adam houses, an exceptional example of 18th century interior decoration.
Newby Hall is famous for the 25 acres of award-winning Gardens that are full of rare and beautiful plants and a Miniature Railway for children and big children known as adults. This year there were approximately 1500 vehicles on display from all eras of transport including motor bikes, commercials and steam driven cars.
The auto jumble is one of the best in the North East with many bargains to be found.
